Australian Earth Observation Communities: User & Producer Priorities

We need your help to define future direction of earth observation in Australia!

This is an opportunity for Australia as a whole to significantly grow our industries collecting and using Earth Observation data, as well as ensuring the essential government services we rely on continue to have assured access the best quality EO data.

We consider Earth Observation (EO) data to be any data collected from satellites, aircraft and drones.

This survey aims to establish what you think are key problems to accessing, using and distributing EO data and its related products,  AND how you think you, we, industry or government can address these problems!

We will use these important pieces of information to define the priorities for action in the Australian Earth Observation Community Plan – which is due for release in November 2016.

We will also use your answers to inform a response to the national consultation process to seek feedback on the National Research Infrastructure Capability Issues Paper, which was released 20 July 2016, and asks for specific input on remote sensing infrastructure by September 9 2016.

This survey is an essential consultation element of the plan and will provide us with a base data set for defining key challenges to EO Development in Australia, and then what are the main priorities that industry and government need to act on.

The survey will take 10-15 minutes of your time, and it will be anonymous unless you choose to identify yourself.
